Eve's Elixir presents Eyes of Eve April 10-11, 2009 7pm Cowell
Theater at Fort Mason Center
Eve's Elixir returns this spring with a new bevy of creative choreographers
brewing up potent elixirs of experience. They are exploring the ways in which perspectives affect us from the fearful
or exciting prospect of new love, the binding perspective of a painter upon a muse, war from the viewpoint of women and children,
and also the revitalizing value of creative life. Directed by five choreographers a crew of over 25 dancers and musicians
represent seven different styles of world dance, including flamenco, Indonesian, and Cuban modern dance. Eve's Elixir
weaves together beautiful and poignant pieces which reveal the power of the human perspective to manipulate, but also to deliver
acts of grace. Directed by Holly Shaw, Wan-Chao Chang, Tom Mayock, Ramon Ramos Alayo, Riquezas flamenco, and Hannah Romanowsky. Eve's Elixir is part of the In Performance Series at the Cowell Theater
at Fort Mason Center , which is supported by Grants for the Arts/San Francisco Hotel Tax Fund, The William and Flora Hewlett
Foundation, and the Fort Mason Foundation.
